About Your Dog training team!
Our Dog Training Approach
At KANE9, we help dogs and their humans live their best lives, together! Not just through obedience, but through understanding, communication, and real-world connection. We really do focus on mindset over obedience.
We teach dogs to look to their people for direction, and we teach people how to show up for their dogs with clarity, confidence, and consistency. We know how much you love your dog. That doesn’t mean you always love all of their behaviors.
Our training incorporates e-collar work as a core part of how we build reliable communication between dogs and their owners. We don’t use it as a quick fix or a last resort, it’s an incredible tool that we use thoughtfully. This allows us to help open your dog’s world to so much more. Yours too.
Whether your dog struggles with reactivity, anxiety, doesn’t come when called, over-excitement, selective hearing, or just gets way too amped in new environments (we see you )… you’re not alone. Your current doesn’t have to be your forever. There is a better way for things to feel, and we’re here to help you find it.
We believe dogs thrive with clear, consistent communication. “No” means no. “Yes” means yes. We don’t leave dogs guessing what’s expected.
Training doesn’t stop when your dog leaves their new fam at KANE9, it continues at home, with you. That’s why we put just as much emphasis on owner coaching as we do on the work we do with your dog while they’re here.
From day one of the board and train, we’re thinking about the transition home. Equipping you with the tools, mindset, and support you’ll need to keep things up back home.
Your dog will make incredible progress with us, but the real growth happens when you feel confident leading them in everyday life.
We’re not just laying the foundation for you, we’re building it with you.
So make sure you are ready to put just as much work in as your dog is going to!
Your dog’s new best FRIENDS
Hi, I’m Kait — Founder of KANE9, Lead Trainer, and Owner Coach.
I’m so glad you’re here. Years ago, I was exactly where you might be right now…an overwhelmed dog owner trying to figure it all out, wanting so badly to help my dog but not knowing where to start.
That experience shaped everything I do today. I’ve built KANE9 to be the kind of support system I wish I had back then: clear, grounded, honest, and fully focused on helping both the dog and the owner succeed.
I’m not here to judge or throw a checklist at you—I’m here to walk with you, challenge you when you need it, and remind you that you’re more capable than you think. Because when you grow, your dog does too. And that’s what this is all about.

Casey
Meet Casey – Director of Operations, Video Guy, and Resident Hype-Man
Casey is not just a core part of KANE9, he’s been here since day one. As my husband and business partner, he’s helped build this business from the ground up, and officially joined full-time in 2021.
While you won’t always find him in the kennel room, Casey plays a huge role in making things run smoothly around here. From early morning let-outs to nighttime wind-downs, capturing our content, and keeping our property in great shape, he’s always thinking a few steps ahead.
He’s also the creative behind Rho’s Butter, his video content business, and the talent behind much of what you see in our videos. His ability to tell the story of our work through video is part of what brings KANE9 to life for our community.
It takes a village to do what we do and Casey brings the steady presence, creative vision, and big-picture support that helps make it all possible.
MANDY
Meet Mandy – Assistant Trainer and Kait’s Wing-Woman
Mandy is basically every dog’s favorite human the second they arrive at KANE9. She has that calm, grounded energy that dogs (and humans) instantly trust, and they know she’s their person from day one.
She originally came to us as a client (peep her dog Ray Ray), and it was one of those instant clicks. I saw right away that she had a natural gift, not just with dogs, but with understanding what they need in order to feel safe, seen, and supported.
Now, as part of the KANE9 team, Mandy helps with structured walks, training sessions, and all the little in-between moments that matter just as much as the big ones. Her presence is such a huge part of the dogs’ experience here, and we’re so lucky to have her.
Brittni
Meet Brittni – Board + Train Dog Trainer and Human Coach in Poynette, WI
Brittni’s KANE9 story started as a client, but it didn’t take long to realize she was a total natural with dogs. She fell in love with the training process and even more with what it can open up for dogs and their people when they have the skills and confidence to experience more of life together.
When she’s not working with dogs, Brittni is an emergency room RN, so staying calm, paying attention to the little things, and caring for others is pretty much second nature. She’s also big into fitness and wellness and firmly believes our dogs should get to be part of the lives we love living.
Whether that means hitting the trails, exploring somewhere new, or simply feeling more confident saying “yeah, the dog can come,” Brittni loves helping dogs and their people build the skills and mindset to get out, see the world, and enjoy more of it together.
Your dog’s time with Brittni is about so much more than checking training boxes, it’s about helping them become a dog you feel excited to experience life with.
