What If It’s Not About “Fixing” Your Dog?
I remember when I thought I just had to wait it out.
Wait for my dog to calm down.
Wait for him to “grow out of it.”
Wait for a better season, a better schedule, or a miracle YouTube trainer to finally show me what I was doing wrong.
Back then, I thought maybe I just wasn’t cut out for it.
That if I had to work this hard, I must be doing something wrong.
Or that my dog was just too much.
But what I really needed wasn’t more tips or tools.
I needed a new way to lead.
Whether your dog is nervous, reactive, pushy, or just living their best chaotic puppy life — it’s not about “fixing” them.
It’s about giving them something clear to follow.
Not perfection.
Not a packed training schedule.
Not controlling every move.
Just structure that makes sense.
Boundaries that create calm.
And follow-through that helps your dog go, “Oh… I get it now.”
I work with all kinds of dogs:
Adolescents that are sweet but straight-up bratty
Reactive dogs that keep you on your toes
Timid dogs who need confidence and direction
Spirited dogs who love their people but struggle to listen
And proactive owners who just want to do things right before things go sideways
And what I’ve found—over and over—is this:
The dogs get better when their people feel more confident.
Not perfect. Just grounded. Just present. Just clear.
That’s what we build here.
Through our Board & Train programs, virtual coaching calls, and the Mindset Over Obedience e-course, I help owners create lasting change — without guilt, chaos, or unrealistic expectations.
So if you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or just ready to create something more sustainable with your dog…
You’re not alone. And you’re in the right place.
